A community focused school
Ar gael yn Saesneg yn unig ar hyn o brydLeaders develop effective partnership with families and the wider community. There are strong connections with businesses and this helps school leaders access additional funding to develop and sustain community projects. The established community Bistro is a successful example of how community and partnership working can bring about mutual benefits to pupils, staff and the community. The Bistro provides real life experiences to older pupils, enabling them to develop their entrepreneurial and financial skills when helping to run the afternoon cafe. Local community groups access the building to provide training and parents are empowered to organise a mother and toddler group, making these activities free and accessible to families. Leaders place a strong emphasis on partnership working and building capacity within the community and this helps bring the community together, to raise aspirations and celebrate one another’s achievements.
