Amberleigh Extended Community
Ar gael yn Saesneg yn unig ar hyn o brydThe school’s integrated therapeutic and community living approach fosters a nurturing and trusting environment where pupils are encouraged to talk about how they feel, take on responsibility and develop a sense of belonging. At the heart of this culture are twice-daily meetings immediately before and after school, as well as twice-weekly extended meetings. The purpose of these meetings is to enable pupils to understand, talk about and express their thoughts and experiences in an open, honest and safe way. Many pupils learn to use these skills to make themselves heard and contribute to discussion and debate in a positive way. As a consequence, over their time at the school, pupils develop the skills they need to understand difference and the expression of different views or opinions.
