Vulnerable fact files and sensory tools

The recently appointed trauma and well-being practitioner has responsibility for creating ‘vulnerable fact files’ for all pupils across the centre. These are created from information gathered from all stakeholders on admission and form a valuable resource for staff when getting to know new pupils. Pupils are assessed for trauma responses and useful sensory strategy tools have been created which are shared with teachers and support staff. As a result, staff gain a secure understanding of these pupils and how to support them to manage their emotions throughout the day.
